Help – Information – Referral

The counseling center in Moabit, Berlin
Our counseling center, located at Oldenburger Strasse 38, is staffed by two female and one male social worker, all of whom have relevant additional qualifications in their area. Here we offer counselling to those looking for help, be it for a single session or over the long term.
Help
We support victims after a crime so that they can find inner peace. At our counseling center, people can find a pleasant atmosphere that offers plenty of opportunities to talk about issues as well as any feelings they have that are worrying or upsetting them, no matter whether they were involved in bullying, burglary, a mugging, harassment, stalking or domestic violence. This environment allows us to explain and establish the next steps with our visitors, helping them realise their objectives.
Information
We talk to those affected by crime about police and court processes, the associated testimony, and possible financial issues (damages, compensation for pain and suffering, and so on). Additionally, we explain the consequences of traumatic experiences and present possible ways of coming to terms with what has happened.
Referral
If necessary, we point people in the direction of other professional specialists, such as our witness support workers at Moabit criminal court (Moabit Kriminalgericht), offender–victim mediation teams, (trauma) therapists, doctors and lawyers.
